There is no men's size or women's size
We make two shapes, not two sizes. A round case of 34 mm and a rectangular case of 30 by 24 mm. Both are designed to sit well on a slim wrist and on a broad one, and the strap is what makes the difference.
So the only thing you really need to know is your wrist measurement. Two minutes, a strip of paper, and you are done.
Measure your wrist
Use a tape measure, or cut a strip of paper about a centimetre wide.
- Wrap it around your wrist, just below the wrist bone, where you would normally wear a watch.
- Keep it snug but not tight. You should be able to slide a finger underneath.
- Mark where the ends meet and lay the strip flat against a ruler.
That number is your wrist size. Write it down, because you will need it when you adjust the strap.
What your measurement means
- Under 15 cm — a small wrist. Both shapes work. The rectangular Élégance sits particularly well, and you will likely remove three or four links from a steel strap.
- 15 to 17 cm — the most common range. Either shape, one or two links out.
- 17 to 19 cm — the round 34 mm case reads as deliberately understated here, which is exactly the point. Expect to remove one link or none.
- Over 19 cm — the round case is the better choice. A mesh strap is worth considering, because it adjusts to any length without links.
None of this is a rule. A small case on a large wrist is a style, not a mistake.
Round or rectangular
Infinité and Liberté — a round case of 34 mm, water resistant to 5 ATM. Infinité runs on a Japanese quartz movement; Liberté on a Swiss one, with a date window and luminous hands.
Élégance — a rectangular case of 30 by 24 mm, water resistant to 3 ATM, Japanese quartz. Narrower on the wrist and quieter in character.
Every case is stainless steel and nickel free, so it can be worn all day by people who cannot wear ordinary jewellery.
Which strap fits which case
- Infinité and Liberté share the same straps. Any strap marked Infinité/Liberté fits either case, in steel or mesh.
- Élégance has its own straps. The rectangular case is narrower, so it takes the straps marked Élégance.
Every strap uses a quick release pin. You can change one by hand in under a minute, without tools and without a trip to a jeweller.
Fitting and adjusting
Adjusting a steel strap
Every Régler comes with an adjustment kit in the box, so you can do this at home.
Look at the underside of the strap. The small arrows show the direction in which the pins come out. Push the pin out with the tool, remove the link, and press the pin back in against the arrow.
Take links from both sides of the clasp where you can, so the clasp stays centred under your wrist. Not sure how many to remove? Take out one, try it on, and repeat. Putting a link back is easy; a strap you have cut is not.
Adjusting a mesh strap
A mesh strap has no links to remove. The clasp slides along the mesh and locks wherever you want it.
Lift the small lever on the clasp, slide it to the right length, and press it closed again. That means a mesh strap fits any wrist, and it is the easiest option if you are buying a watch as a gift.
Changing the strap
Turn the watch over. On the back of the strap, where it meets the case, you will find a small lever on the spring bar.
Slide the lever towards the middle, lift the strap away, and click the new one in until you feel it catch. Give it a gentle tug to check it is seated.
No tools, under a minute, and it is how most people end up with three straps instead of three watches.
3 ATM and 5 ATM — what they mean
Infinité and Liberté are rated 5 ATM. Élégance is rated 3 ATM.
In practice, both handle rain, washing your hands and a spilled drink without any trouble. Neither is made for swimming or diving, and no quartz watch in this range should be worn in a hot shower, because the pressure and heat are harder on the seals than water alone.
If something does go wrong with water during normal use, get in touch. That is covered by our guarantee.
What comes in the box
Your watch arrives in a Régler watch box with an adjustment kit, so you can size the strap yourself.
There is no paper manual. A QR code on the box takes you to the instructions online, where we keep them up to date.
